With controversy swirling around the nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) as attorney general, his supporters resorted yesterday to arresting the head of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, in order to assure doubters once and for all that Sessions is exactly what the fuck you think he is. NAACP Pres. Cornell Wm. Brooks had launched a sit-in yesterday at Sessions’ Alabama offices to protest the senator’s record of reversing the advancement of colored people.
“We tried denying past racist rhetoric, and that didn’t work, so we figured it’s time to try the other way and just start dragging handcuffed colored people through Mobile, Alabama, again,” The Fucking News wishes a Trump transition official had said out loud.
Prior to their arrest, Brooks Tweeted a picture of himself and other protesters at Sessions’ office.

The picture apparently shows several unnamed NAACP members sitting beneath a framed portrait of the senator’s idol, whiteness.
(Editor’s note: We normally don’t traffic in straight-up calling people racist. But when you’re arresting civil-rights protesters in Mobile, Alabama, you motherfuckers, well, we’ll go for low-hanging fruit over strange fruit any day of the week.)
