“This is not the time to ask who did what, or what I knew when about who I asked to do what for Russia,” Fucking Trump would’ve said if The Fucking News asked him.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), said Tuesday that the House Oversight Committee will not look into the content of former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn’s contacts with Russia, or into who else in the Trump Admiinisylum might be implicated. “It’s called the Oversight Committee,” Chaffetz told TFN. “Obviously, failing to investigate this would be an oversight. And that’s what we do. It’s literally the name of the committee.”
Chaffetz also blasted the partisan calls for an investigation emanating from the Senate, where Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX) and Roy Blunt (R-MO) said they want Congress to investigate, to pursue their partisan agenda.
At his Really White House briefing on Tuesday, Press Secremaybe Sean Spicer revealed that the Really White House counsel’s office had looked at the issue and determined that no wrongdoing was committed by the White House. Which is its client. So, time to move on. Denials of fact. Admissions of fact. Denial of wrongdoing. Healing. Closure. Presidential pardons. You know the drill. Republican administrations, people! It was only eight years ago. This is how it goes!
Flynn was also defended by non-partisan observers in Russia, helping Flynn not at all.
The scandal over his calls with Russia’s ambassador, and recent revelations that he falsely told people he did not discuss U.S. sanctions against Russia have consumed the nation ever since the very start of the Trump Adminisylum. Three weeks ago.
