National Review Wishes Hysterical Lefties Would Just Be Chill About Shit, Dog

How bad a fuckup was Pres. Fucking Trump’s Muslim Ban fuckup? Remember David French? He was the “intellectual,” #NeverTrump, right-wing dream third-party-candidate savior for one brief twist of the campaign rollercoaster.

Here’s the National Review headline for his defense of Trump, a lecture to the left about their response to Trump’s fuckup:

You see, if everyone would just slow down and consider all the relevant facts the way you don’t when you’re issuing an executive order, you would see how reasonable this all is…

What makes this so delectable is not merely that the National Review’s own front page juxtaposed French’s headline with a related headline thusly…

…It’s that after French’s article first appeared, it became clear that the executive order included green-card holders. Which led to a slight revision of French’s piece, way down below the part where he says the left’s hysterical rhetoric has gotten out of control…

So, everyone cool now? The National Review wants us all to calm down, because when the National Review nationally reviews all the relevant evidence, considers all the historical context, and assesses the reasoning logically, it turns out all we’re dealing with in the first week of a new presidency…is a teeny, inconsequential case of presidential insanity.

Whew!
