Navy Fires Warning Shots at Iranian Vessels Encroaching in US Waters off the Coast of Iran

The USS Mahan, a Navy destroyer, fired warning shots at Iranian patrol vessels Sunday in the Strait of Hormuz, just 7400 miles off the coast of South Carolina.

The Pentagon said the Iranians opened fire, unprovoked, as the Mahan passed through the American nautical passage that lies between Iran, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and US national interests. No South Carolinians were injured in the exchange.

One Navy source told The Fucking News from a boat of some kind, “Our current strategy is to use up all our ammunition before Trump takes office. Expect a LOT of fucking warning shots.”

The Strait of Hormuz is one of America’s most strategic waterways in the Persian Gulf. In September, Trump warned that Iranian ships would be “shot out of the water” if they harassed any US Navy vessels in the course of their normal day-to-day duties patrolling Iran’s coast.

Unless, of course, real-estate developer Jared Kushner informs him that Iran has good relations with Russia, which is sending Iran massive amounts of natural uranium. Whee!
